Flowers at Hawkins Spring Farm
Zinnias – everyone’s favorite. They love the hot summers of Oklahoma and are one of the most colorful and long-blooming flowers of summer. They are eye-catching in the garden sporting blooms ranging from white to deep red with every color in-between. With their long stems, they are great for cutting and make long-lasting bouquets to brighten any room.
Sunflowers – todays sunflowers are more than just yellow – ranging from pale creamy yellow to dark mahogany, sunflowers can be show-stoppers in a mix of cut flowers or standing alone.
Celosia – these hardy summer flowers just bloom their heads off. This year we grew a mix and were rewarded with some of the prettiest colors ever – pale yellow, golden, a perfectly pretty bright pink, deep orange, bright red and a gorgeous maroon. When cut, they bring a nice difference in texture to a bouquet of zinnias.
