2011 Garden Plant Update

The veggie seedlings have been growing well – the first-planted tomatoes are looking great and the seeds planted in late February/early -that’s about 1/3 of the tomatoes plants.  Peppers are up and will soon be taken from the seed planting bed to their own pots.  Of course the broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage,as well as our Read the Rest…»

New Barn Under Construction

Hawkins Springs Farm has been in need of more farm/garden storage and ordered a 25 x 30 steel building, 13 feet high, that, hopefully, will meet our storage needs.  The foundation was poured at the end of January – right before the double snow storms that started February 1.
